RHUB's TurboMeeting allows you to have 4-way multipoint video (ie: show up to 4 webcams). TurboMeeting is easy to install. And you can do remote support in addition to web conferences and webinars. RHUB lets you avoid monthly fees by forcing you to buy an appliance. :) But at $995, it was much cheaper than the alternatives. And TurboMeeting is considered as good as GoToMeeting and WebEx.

I have read this post. This is very much true. Even I own a blog account on video conferencing. Video conferencing is indeed a great innovation in technology and communications. One day video conferencing will be like an ordinary house-hold item in the next 5-10 years.I will mention your post in my blog.

I would like to recommend Yugma as an affordable alternative so some of the pricier web conferencing tools.(www.yugma.com) Yugma provides free unlimited desktop sharing! You can share your desktop with up to 10 others. For the first 15 days of your free account, you can get full access to all of Yugma's professional account features, this includes giving desktop presenter capabilities to an attendee! If you like the Pro features, paid plans start at $9.95 a month, otherwise the free account is yours to use forever. If you have any questions or comments, we would love to hear from you at info@yugma.com

In many cases those platforms are used just to allow the team to review the same document together in real-time and "be on the same page".
The recently launched free site http://www.showdocument.com does exactly that, quickly show documents to friends and colleagues.
It allows co-browsing on any document, user uploads a document and invites friends to view it with him live
All the participants in the session see each others' drawing, highlights, etc.

I wouldn't say that the audio is better or more reliable than skype, but I do like the fact that you can view up to 6 people at a time during a video conference session. Skype only allows for 1 to 1 viewing unless you install external extensions created by other users. But to answer your question, yes, I have used and will actually be using it for a state wide meeting today.

Hey Jason

I work on behalf of ooVoo and just wanted to add alittle bit more about ooVoo for people looking at different video conferencing options.

ooVoo is a free video chat download that allows up to 6 people to have a video chat at the same time. One can also take part in the video chat through an audio feed if they don't have a webcam. Users can also record the video chat/conference and upload to Youtube. There are special effect options available for the video and profile pictures. My favorite is sending video messages through email (can be to non-ooVoo users). The new 1.5 version came out last week and is promoting free calls from anywhere to the US or Canada until March 1. If you want to download the Mac beta version, check out this link: http://www.myooVooday.com. This week ooVoo users have the opportunity to meet up and chat with influential social media bloggers this week. More info about the event is here: myoovooday.smnr.us. Hope this helps!
